OUR STORY
Woods Builders was founded on the twin principles of quality and value. Many people long for a home that is attractive but also meets all of their needs. We developed an easy process for building and designing, so anyone can experience the joy of owning a beautiful home that is both functional and affordable.
We started back in 1996 as a builder of custom homes and luxury condominiums. More than 20 years later, we’re still building homes and condos and each one is better than the one before.
OUR HISTORY
David Woods has always had a knack for building, whether it’s rebuilding airplanes or building a custom home, he has done it. Dave grew up in Canada and, upon graduating high school, he found himself looking for a change in scenery and moved to West Michigan to attend the School of Missionary Aviation Training where he met his wife, Jean. Dave and Jean settled into the small town of Lowell just outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan where they raise their three kids.
After years of owning and selling a variety of small businesses, Dave and Jean found themselves in the residential building industry. Woods Builders Homes has been building custom homes for over 20 years. At Woods Builders Homes, we believe every home should be built to the highest of standards without losing sight of value.

With our process, we make things easy. From start to finish we make your dream home a reality, whether it’s on your own lot or on one of our developments.
Custom Floor Plans
Your house should be unique to you, your family, your lifestyle, and your design tastes. That’s why we offer a variety of preferred materials for each and every home we build.
HOME VALUE
At Woods Builders, we value quality above all else. We only suggest materials and vendors we believe in, trust, and know will offer the best in design and durability.
Custom Options
Once a floor plan is chosen, you’ll meet with us to select your options. We refer to ‘options’ as any structural change. For example, you’ll decide between cabinet styles and layouts, counter top materials, and the level of trim package throughout your home.
FINDING YOUR DREAM HOME
It only takes about 14 weeks from the start of mechanical to walking in the front door! That gives you time to confirm all of your selections and make your mark on the home. All that’s left is to fill the home with love and happiness!
